The North American corporation is no longer making all-electric Fiat 500e hatchbacks at its assembly line in Turin, Italy.
With the customer interest towards EVs in Europe taking a 25% nosedive this year, the news is hardly surprising. As for the gas-powered Fiat 500 bestseller, it dropped out of production this summer due to no longer being compliant with the EU cybersecurity laws.
Stellantis emphasizes that it is already working on a hybrid replacement and will be able to unveil it as soon as the next year, even though the original plans were for 2026.
