Fiat 500X gets a facelift

Italian car company Fiat has taken the wraps off its facelifted 500X model. The car got new engines, features and certain design alterations.

Compared to the pre-facelift version, the new Fiat 500X sports revised bumpers, as well as LED-based headlights and rear lights. The manufacturer claims the new headlights are 20 percent brighter than the formerly used HID lamps.

The interior houses a reworked dashboard with a modestly-sized TFT display and new wheel upholstery. There are 7 finishing options to choose from this time around, which are essentially different combinations of leather, fabric and decorative elements.

The engine palette no longer contains naturally-aspirated engines. The facelifted Fiat 500X can be purchased with turbocharged gasoline engines ranging from 120 to 150 hp (90 – 112 kW) and diesel engines 1.3 to 2.0 liters large and rated between 95 and 150 hp (71 – 112 kW).

New features include traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, AEB, lane control, and blind spot monitoring.
