Visitors of the Geneva International Motor Show 2018 will be able to see a special version of the Fiat 124 Spider roadster. The newcomer is known as Abarth 124 – GT and comes with a removable carbon hard top.
According to a representative of the company, it’s the first time this car gets a carbon roof installed onto it. To make this possible, Fiat engineers had to make several structural changes, and the vehicle ended up with a warmed-up rear window and better noise proofing.
The new Abarth 124 – GT also sports a new lacquering and a set of exclusively designed light alloy wheels. Buyers may get an optional carbon spoiler if they want to.
The engine compartment of the high-end Abarth 124 – GT conceals a 1.4L V4 turbo with 170 hp. It enables the vehicle to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.8 seconds and go at a maximum of 240 km/h (149 mph).
The modded car will become available in Europe before the end of the year.
