Fiat has decided to join in on the celebration of Disney’s 100th anniversary with a special lineup of Topolino microcars dressed up for the occasion.
The vintage 1936 Fiat 500 was known as the Topolino in Italy. The automaker revived this nameplate in 2023 with the help of Stellantis, producing a microcar closely related to the Opel Rocks Electric and the Citroën Ami. From the technical perspective, it is not even a car but a quadricycle capped at 45 km/h (28 mph) with a paltry 70 km (43.5 miles) of electric range.
There is one more thing that brings the car close to Disney, though. ‘Topolino’ is the historic nickname of Mickey Mouse in Italy. Actually, it’s entirely possible that it’s the main reason why Fiat chose to celebrate Disney’s anniversary in the first place.
