Reports: Force Gurkha SUV to get a five-door version soon

The second generation of the Indian off-roader known as the Force Gurkha has been around for three years now, but the company has only ever produced it in a short three-door body. Things may change now as reports are trickling in about a long-wheelbase variant coming soon.

According to these, the new SUV will have 2,825 mm (110.4 inches) of wheelbase – 425 mm (16.6 inches) more than the current version. It will allegedly go on sale with exclusive trim and comfort options not available for the current model, as well as an optional third seat row.

Things are expected to stay the same under the hood. The current generation utilizes a 2.6-liter turbo diesel engine to send 91 PS (90 hp / 67 kW) to all four wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox and interaxle diff locks.
