Force Motors, an India-based automaker founded in 1958, mainly produces buses and tractors, but it also has a giant off-roader named the Trax Cruiser, which can accommodate up to 13 people.
The car looks a bit like a Mercedes G-Class from the side, but at 5,120 mm long, 1,818 mm wide and 2,027 mm tall with 3,050 mm of wheelbase is much larger. The tires measure 215/75 R15 all around, and the road clearance is surprisingly low at 160 mm.
The interior sports cheap plastic trim with AC controls under the touchscreen display in the middle and power window buttons between the seats. The front passengers get three-point safety belts, while the rest make do with very basic waist belts.
Powering the ride that weighs 3,140 kilos is a 2.6-liter turbo diesel rated at 91 horsepower and 250 Newton-meters of torque. A five-speed manual transmission drives the rear axle. The brakes are disc-based at the front and drum-based in the back.
Prices in India range from 1,147,427 to 1,328,225 Rupees. Force sells special versions for rescue teams and other special services. The maximum warranty term is 3 years.
