Canadian manufacturer Roshel Defence Solutions has revealed the Senator Armoured Rescue Vehicle, a large armored car suitable for special police forces and the military.
In all likelihood, the car uses the Ford SuperDuty pickup as base. Its interior can accommodate up to 12 people and protect them from 7.62-caliber shots (51mm max.). According to a representative of the company, the vehicle can also withstand two hand grenade blasts.
The engine bay houses a 6.7-liter diesel engine with 330 hp (246 kW) under its command, partnered with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The car always ships with specially designed back seats that can absorb the energy of a shockwave caused by an explosion. The front seats lack this kind of protection, though.
Paid options include a night vision camera, an all-round view camera set, a fire extinguishing system, tire pressure control, a roof-mounted turret and a special air freshener unit.
The vehicle will celebrate its live premiere at the AUSA Annual Meeting in Washington DC, USA.
