Ford CEO James Hackett said during the recent press conference that the company was planning to expand the F-Series pickup truck lineup to include a hybrid and an all-electric version.
According to him, the company will eventually do the same with the Ford Transit series, but there are no time estimates just yet.
In an earlier announcement, the company revealed that 90% of its model range planned for 2020 would be composed of SUV and pickup truck models. In accordance with the currently adopted strategy, such popular Ford cars as the Explorer, F-150, Escape, Bronco, and Mustang will be getting electrified/all-electric versions starting that year.
