Car manufacturer Ford will be bringing the facelifted version of its Super Duty pickup truck to the upcoming Chicago Auto Show. In the meantime, the company has released a few bits of information concerning the premiere.
First off, you may easily tell the facelifted car from its predecessor by a differently styled radiator grille no longer sporting the dual horizontal ribs, a redesigned hinged side and revised rear lights.
The real novelty, however, lies concealed under the hood. The refreshed series will finally be available with the humongous 7.3-liter V8 engine nicknamed “Godzilla”. Its nominal output is going to seriously exceed the 420 hp (313 kW) of the next best offer, although we are going to have to wait until the manufacturer posts detailed specs.
The engine palette further includes the entry-level 6.2-liter gasoline engine and a reportedly improved version of the old 6.7-liter diesel unit (this one likely to exceed 456 hp / 340 kW). All versions ship with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The 2020 Ford Duty lineup includes the same trims as the current one, ranging from the base XLT to the range-topping Limited, with a $100,000+ price tag attached to the latter.
Standard equipment in all versions now includes a Wi-Fi hotspot and multiple USB ports. One notable option is an advanced parking assist feature, which the company claims works properly even with bulky camper van conversions.
The updated cars will hit the dealerships in the fall of 2019. Prices will be announced later.
