Car manufacturer Ford has showed an early prototype version of its two-door Bronco SUV at an annual meeting with authorized dealers of the marque. The company also plans to release the Bronco in two other body designs: as a four-door SUV and as a pickup truck.
The upcoming Ford Bronco features a removable hardtop along with detachable doors. There is a special area in the trunk dedicated for carrying these parts when they are not needed.
The car has its side mirrors mounted on the a-pillars, a design which makes it look different from its main market competitor, the Jeep Wrangler.
Those who attended the meeting say the car sports a retro-themed body and kit, complete with the rectangular radiator grille and round headlights.
The Ford Bronco will debut by the end of 2020.
Ford seems in no hurry to reveal any details concerning the new vehicle. Rumor has it the car will be based on the Ranger pickup truck chassis and inherit some of its design features from the Troller R-X Concept introduced in 2012. It will also allegedly ship with a custom seven-speed manual transmission.
