Ford working on its 1st virtual racecar

The carmaker has officially founded the Team Fordzilla P1, which included captains of five leading cybersports teams of Europe, as well as employees from the Ford Europe design department. The goal is to produce a virtual racecar that will represent Ford in multiple video games.

According to the company, the team will ensure that the supercar looks stylish and lives up to the expectations of all kinds of gamers. Most interestingly, however, it will first build a real-world prototype vehicle and then base the 3D model on it.

Other manufacturers have been known to produce video game cars before. In the fall of 2019, Jaguar unveiled the Vision Gran Turismo Coupé shown in the video here. The all-wheel-drive EV incorporated telltale design traits of such classics as the C-Type and D-Type, as well as the modern I-TYPE 4 racecar.
