Technical characteristics of the Ford GT sports car are declassified

The car received the 647-strong motor and, taking into account its weight in 1,385 kg, it will be able to accelerate to 347 km/h. It means that the new supercar became the fastest model of the American brand.The amount of the petrol V6 engine makes 3,5 liters, and torque makes 745 Nm.

The company shared that the new GT took only 2 minutes and 0.98 seconds to go one round with 5.05 km length on Calabogie Motorsports Park Canadian track. According to this index the novelty bypassed McLaren 675LT (2 m 10.8 s) and  Ferrari 458 Speciale (2 m 12.9 s).

The car received a body from carbon fiber. The driver will be able to choose five modes of driving, for each of which the car exposes the corresponding settings of aerodynamics and a suspension bracket: standard, sports, track, for movement on a damp covering and for achievement of the maximum speed. Fuel consumption of GT variates from 20l/100 km  to 13l/100 km on the highway in city conditions.

Recently, Ford announced that production of the new GT will extend for two more years - in total the assembly of serial versions of the supercar will continue within 4 years, and the total quantity of the made copies will constitute 1 thousand. At the same time, there are already over 6000 requisitions for this car. Dave Pericak, global director of Ford Performance commented: "While we can’t build enough Ford GTs for everyone who has applied, we are going to produce additional vehicles in an effort to satisfy more of our most loyal Ford ambassadors. We want to keep Ford GT exclusive"
