What a heavy-built car needs the most is a heavy-duty engine to power it, right? Anyway, this seems to have been the motto of Ford when the company developed its latest instalment in the Ford F-Series, the F-450 Super Duty ‘2018. The car comes with a diesel monster engine which takes it up to an entirely new level of performance.
The hood of the vehicle houses a 6.7-liter, eight-cylinder engine capable of 450 hp with 1267 Nm torque – an unchallenged world record in the pickup truck category.
With performance like this, the new Ford F-Series Super Duty ‘2018 easily displaces the same-year edition of Ram 3500 HD from the pedestal. For instance, while the latter can haul up to 13.6 metric tons of weight in its trailer attachment (that’s ~30,000 lbs), the former can manage up to 15.4 metric tons (~34,000 lbs).
