Within the next five years American car maker Ford Motor plans to invest $1 billion in Argo AI startup, which develops technologies on the basis of artificial intelligence. Argo AI was founded by former employees of such companies as Google and Uber last year.
Specialists of Argo AI will develop a virtual management system for the autonomous vehicle for Ford. For this purpose the young company broadens the state: by the end of 2017 about 200 experts in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence will work there. The pilotless technology will appeare in 2021 and will be marked by a debut of new completely autonomous Ford models. Cars will have no steering wheel wheel and pedals.
