In the past three years, the Russian car market is considered to be unstable, and Ford became the first major company, which sales finally showed growth in Russia. Moreover, Americans believe that it is the Russian car market,that has the potential to become the largest in Europe, so Ford will continue to invest in the Russian automotive industry and will expand the localization of their own cars in the Russian Federation. This was announced by CEO Mark Fields automaker.
Car sale in Russia were reduced more than twice in comparison with the most "fruitful", 2012 because of the low prices of oil and the western sanctions. GM American company, one of the main Ford competitors, left the Russian Federation two years ago, sales volumes of other carmakers in the country are still reduced. So, in 2016 Kia and Hyundai sold for 9% and 10% less cars respectively. At the same time sales of Ford in the territory of Russia show 10 percent growth.
