Americans declared that 3D - printing can widely be used in mass production. These technologies allow to create autodetails of any forms and sizes, and their weight will be less than the weight of regular elements, made from metal. Moreover, the creation of details on 3D-printers is more economic method of production. Finally use of such advanced methods allow to reduce cost value of the car.
For example, the production of the intake manifold on the printer will take a couple of days. The production of works in the traditional method takes several months.
Ford notes that 3D - printing is widely used in many industries, even such important as medicine and aerospace industry. BMW concern already announced about plans of using achievements of 3D - printing in production.
