The revival of the iconic crossover series is complete, and it seems like the company will be showing it to the world on July 9, 2020.
The date was indirectly mentioned in a recent Instagram post by Ford Motor Company. It featured a photo of a barren landscape with a silhouette of a wild horse overlaid upon it. The caption states "July 9, 2020". The Bronco series has traditionally been associated with the image of a wild horse, so coincidences are highly unlikely.
The company had to postpone its original plans to unveil the new Bronco at the Geneva Motor Show due to the coronavirus outbreak. In all likelihood, the premiere will take place online.
The new SUV shares the T6 platform with the Ford Ranger pickup truck, and comes powered by a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine worth 270 hp (200 kW). As an alternative, customers will be offered a 2.7-liter V6 good for 325 hp (241 kW). Both engines will be available with seven-speed manual and ten-speed automatic transmission.
