Beechmont Ford has come out with Project 1979, a 41-year-old Ford Bronco painted black with improved suspension and added engine power.

The tuner team took care to strip the car body of all the chrome elements, replace the square headlights with authentic-looking round ones, and repair the wiring. It also upgraded the suspension with new, heavy-duty arms and links, lifting the body by 102 mm (4 inches). Disc brakes were installed all around, as well as new tires 35 inches in diameter.

The cabin received a custom dashboard, an infotainment system and a vintage-themed climate control unit. Neither the Mustang front seats nor the rear sofa sport modern headrests, and there are two small seats located at the rear end.

Red Zone Motorsports handled the engine upgrade, swapping the stock mill with a new 7.5-liter V8 rated at 710+ PS (525+ kW). The exact make is unknown, but a Boss Block V8 by Ford Racing is the likeliest candidate. The fuel system is now controlled remotely, the aluminum radiator has two cooling fans, and the exhaust system culminates in quad tips.
