After the reveal of the sixth-gen Bronco SUV, rumors started floating around that Ford also has a pickup truck version in the works. While not official, multiple sources have reported that the vehicle is in the manufacturer’s plans for 2022.
Allegedly, it will only get one cab size, which is Crew Cab. Jeep Gladiator, its main rival in this market segment, also comes with this cab size. Equipment-wise, the car will be identical to the standard 2021 Bronco (shown in the video). It should also get the Sasquatch Package for enhanced off-road capabilities.
The rumored Bronco truck will likely come powered by the 2.3-liter EcoBoost mill rated at 274 hp (204 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque, as well as its 2.7-liter V6 counterpart capable of 314 hp (234 kW) and 542 Nm (400 lb-ft). A five-liter V8 might make it into the lineup later, and transmission options will probably be limited to seven-speed manual and ten-speed automatic.
