In this short clip, Ford showcases the rear-wheel steering feature of the revived Bronco SUV series that improves its cornering performance.
Ford mentioned earlier on than the new Bronco would come equipped with the feature known as Trail Turn Assist, which would control the torque on the rear wheels to minimize the turn angle.
The footage shows a pre-production two-door version of the Bronco during its desert tests. The car accelerates and then sharply turns thanks to the rear diff lock. The impression is almost that of an SUV doing a standing turn.
Trail Turn Assist can be activated by pushing a button on the center console, right next to the diff lock switches.
