Bad news for all those who pre-ordered the new Ford Bronco: Ford has pushed the sales start back from December 7, 2020 to mid-January 2021 and the shipments from next spring to next summer. Coronavirus disruption of part supply schedules is quoted as the main reason.
The wilderness-capable Bronco Sasquatch should follow in the second half of 2021 featuring 35-inch Goodyear tires, Dana axles with electronic locks, lifted suspension, wider fenders, Bilstein shocks and wheels with beadlock protection.
On an interesting side note, the smaller Bronco Sport model does not appear affected by the disruption, as it is already available through dealerships.
The Ford Bronco revival went instant classic after its premiere, leading to Ford doubling the First Edition batch from 3,500 to 7,000 cars. The company has amassed 230,000 pre-orders within less than a month from the reveal.
