According to Detroit Free Press quoting announcements sent to dealerships, Ford is no longer taking pre-orders for the new Bronco SUV, apparently because of exceeding the quota.
In these announcements, the company reportedly emphasizes that the pause it temporary, and that pre-ordering of 2- and 4-door SUVs will resume soon. However, it will first have to process the majority of the orders already received.
This only concerns online ordering; customers can still visit a dealership in person and buy the car as usual – but they will have to wait at least until 2022 to get it.
Aside from begin snowed under, Ford has its hands full with eliminating the defects of the early production batches. These include hardtops creaking loudly during use and soft tops getting damaged due to a malfunctioning folding mechanism.
