Rumor: Ford Bronco to go manual over chip shortage

The new Ford Bronco has been hit with plenty of bad publicity lately, starting from roof issues and ending with faulty airbag recalls. However, stick shift lovers may appreciate what’s coming next, if Bronco6.com is to be believed.

A message on that forum revealed the alleged specifications and pricing of the 2022MY Bronco, including an optional seven-speed manual transmission coming with the Sasquatch Package.

Is Ford really going to launch a manual variant of the new Bronco? It wouldn’t be the surprising, considering the microchip shortage that forced Cadillac to strip the latest Escalade of its Super Cruise system. Jeep also had to produce the Grand Cherokee L without its trademark Quadra-Lift suspension.

The user Bronco6g has also revealed that prices may rise by about $250 across the board next year.
