The new Ford Bronco already enjoys the status of an ultra-popular performance SUV, and with the beefed-up Raptor version coming up soon, things should become even more interesting.
A user od the Bronco Nation forum has recently posted photos of what they claim is a camouflaged prototype of the Raptor. Apparently, Ford held a private showing of the model straight after the SEMA-2021, where the off-roader attracted crowds. Multiple Bronco trims debuted at the shows along with numerous OEM accessories – watch the two videos to get a closer look at them.
According to the forum community, the Bronco Raptor will be powered by an EcoBoost V6 capable of more than its usual 314 PS (310 hp / 231 kW) and 532 Nm (392 lb-ft) of torque. Some rumors suggest it might have more than 350 horsepower at its disposal.
Aside from an updated engine, the SUV will benefit from a wider track, massively flared fenders, 37-inch all-terrain tires and tweaked suspension. The launch is expected in mid-2021.
