The newly revealed Ford Bronco Raptor will enter its domestic market priced from $69,995, considerably cheaper than the V8-powered Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 ($76,000).
The Bronco Raptor uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 rated ‘above 400 horsepower’. The same engine exerts 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW) and 563 Nm (415 lb-ft) of torque on the Explorer ST. It also features an improved air intake system and other performance tweaks.
However, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon still pulls ahead in terms of raw power. Its 6.4-liter V8 produces 481 PS (474 hp / 354 kW) and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque.
Compared side by side to the regular Bronco, the Raptor sports upgraded suspension, more clearance, a wider track and flared fenders. The cabin greets red accents, paddle shifters and a thicker steering wheel rim.
