Hardly have we reported about the Everglades variant of the Ford Bronco when someone discovered an Easter egg visible in the first photos of the car.
Robby DeGraff from AutoPacific noticed that black applications on the front fenders serve a practical purpose in addition to aesthetic. The decals have the map of the Everglades National Park printed on them along with small horizontal notches.
Apparently, these notches can be used to determine wading depth when crossing streams. Both the driver and the passenger can look out from their respective windows to check whether the water level is still within the allowed limit.
Ford specifies a top wading depth of 925 mm, or full 3 feet. The snorkel pipe can help the engine of the SUV absorb air more efficiently in extremely dusty environments, too, and you can turn it to face any direction for maximum efficiency.
