Ford rolls out an OEM engine tune for the new Bronco

Ford Bronco owners may now opt for one out of two available ECU tuning programs that raise the engine output by 25-30 horsepower while keeping the warranty intact.

Ford Performance developed the mods and tested them thoroughly on the dyno stand and public roads. In addition to preserving your main warranty, the upgrade adds its own engine warranty valid for a period of 36 months or 36,000 miles (~58,000 km) of range, whichever comes first.

Once upgraded, the 2.3-liter engine produces 330 U.S. horsepower instead of 300. The torque rises by 81 Nm to 522 Nm (up 60 lb-ft to 385 lb-ft, respectively). The 2.7-liter engine benefits slightly less, gaining 25 hp and 24 Nm, or 18 lb-ft. As a result, it hits the wheels with 355 hp and 587 Nm (433 lb-ft) of torque.

Ford has not revealed any sprint times yet, but announced that the upgrade would cost $825 when it ships.
