Mecum Auctions will soon put up a Ford Bronco restomod for sale with an engine swap, new suspension and exhaust and a nice custom exterior.
The project was carried out by Legacy Speed and Body. The company began by restoring the exterior and ensuring a consistent color scheme between the body and the cabin – white for the former, light blue for the latter. The result looks extremely neat and clean – note especially the light-blue Ford lettering on the grille.
The list of technical modifications is too extensive to quote it here, so let’s just cover the highlights. Both axles are new, there are modern Dana differentials installed all around along with a transfer case, and modern rotor brakes at both ends. The wheels are 17-inch US Mags Indy rollers shod in 33-inch BF Goodrich tires, and the suspension has been lifted by an extra 90 mm (3.5 inches).
Responsible for the propulsion is a naturally aspirated Coyote V8 with five liters of displacement and a six-speed manual transmission. The post-restoration mileage is 154 miles (248 km).
The seller hasn’t specified an asking price.
