A droptop conversion of a 54-year-old Ford Bronco has cropped up on sale in the United States with a Coyote V8 under the hood and a number of other improvements. It was sold once a few years ago for a cool $185,000, but the current best offer is a low $76,000.
The 5.0-liter Coyote-series engine uses a four-speed AT and a dual-range transfer case to drive all four wheels. The seller points out power upgrades, but doesn’t specify the output. Among other things, the vehicle uses a custom-built Magnaflow exhaust.
With a stock 95-liter (25-gallon) fuel tank, a winch and 35-inch off-road tires, the restomod seems well-equipped for all kinds of off-road trips. It comes with a removable hardtop for driving in inclement weather and has new side mirrors and door handles. The lighting is LED-based all around, and the body enjoys a fresh coat of Grey Metallic paint.
The interior mostly preserves the original design, but improves upon it with power-adjustable, more comfortable seats, an Alpine audio system and a digital dashboard. The post-restoration mileage amounts to 4,500 km (2,800 mi).
