2027 Ford Bronco Sport Updates Revealed

The 2027 Ford Bronco Sport will introduce new exterior color options. Glacier Gray Tri-Coat, Gladwin Green, and Neptune Blue will replace Azure Gray Tri-Coat, Carbonized Gray, and Space White finishes.

Big Bend trims will feature new cloth upholstery and standard 17-inch steel wheels. However, the auto start-stop feature will no longer be standard. The rear under-seat storage previously available on the Badlands trim has been removed.

The Bronco Sport offers two powertrain options: a 180-hp turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine and a 250-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Both are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and come with all-wheel drive as standard. The vehicle is built on a platform shared with the Escape crossover. The maximum towing capacity is 2700 pounds with the 2.0-liter engine, while the 1.5-liter engine allows for 2200 pounds.

Fuel efficiency for the three-cylinder model is rated at 25 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 27 mpg combined. The four-cylinder version has ratings of 21 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined. The vehicle's off-road capabilities are enhanced by the Sasquatch package on the Badlands trim, which includes a torque-vectoring rear differential, a one-pedal off-road driving mode, and a 360-degree-view camera. A Black Diamond package is also available for the Big Bend model, adding skid plates, a front brush guard, and all-terrain tires.
