Car manufacturer Ford has promised a revival of the legendary Bronco SUV series. And even as the fans are waiting for the premiere with their fingers crossed, tuners race with each other to release their own versions of the Bronco.
Velocity Restorations has recently revealed a spectacular restomod of a 45-year-old Bronco, which allegedly took nine months (1,500 hours of labour!) to build. At least, it looks like the result was well worth it.
The team spent the first few months taking the old SUV apart. Then they inspected the parts and threw away all those that were too rusty to be used. Then they manufactured the missing parts of the body and chassis, assembled the entire thing once again and proceeded to the most difficult stage: sanding and painting.
The restomod has got a 5,0-liter, eight-cylinder Ford Racing engine. As far as the interior, it has received new brown leather upholstery with diamond stitching, sport seats, and a new dashboard.
The restored 1973 Ford Bronco costs almost U.S. $230,000.
