Hardly had Ford introduced its compact Bronco Sport SUV, the cars are already being pulled from dealerships because of improperly secured suspension parts. The campaign encompasses 1,666 units, including 1,640 in the United States.
According to the automaker, the issue concerns a small fraction of SUVs assembled from July 22 through November 24, 2020 in Mexico. Inadequately secured rear suspension can increase the risk of a road incident, although the company is not aware of any actual related cases.
Customers will soon be contacted with an offer to visit their nearest dealership for planned maintenance and repair.
