Check out this Ford Crown Victoria propelled by a 27l V12 tank engine

You may know the Ford Crown Victoria as an iconic police car, but Daniel Werner, from Sweden, turned it into something entirely different with the help of… a tank engine.

Werner imported his model year 2006 saloon nicknamed “Interceptor” from California and described it as “affordable and reliable”. Despite this, he still had to reinforce the chassis when he put a 27-liter Rolls-Royce Meteor V12 under the hood. You can watch the video to get a better idea of what the 2,530-horsepower (1,887-kW) monster looks like.

He had originally intended to retrofit his Ford with Chevrolet Corvette parts, but ended up having to scavenge a Chevy C10 pickup truck to rebuild the front end.

The swap is still very much a work in progress, and numerous issues remain, such as the engine overheating all of the time, the tires bursting from sheer weight, and the stock transmission not being up to task. In spite of this, Werner plans to finish what he had started. When (if?) everything works as intended, he will attempt to take his Interceptor past 321 km/h (200 miles per hour).
