If the Mopar Hellephant V8 was your idea of a hardcore engine swap, wait until you see this project coming from Sweden.
Daniel Werner took a regular Ford Crown Victoria and stuffed it with a 27-liter Rolls-Royce Meteor V12 engine taken straight out of a World War II-era tank. He had originally intended to use an even larger 37-liter Griffon mill, but saw no way to make it fit inside the classic sedan.
In its original form, the powertrain produced 550 PS (541 hp / 478 kW), but the man is determined to crank up the power all the way to around 2,500 HP (1,840 kW). Dual turbos and a special ECU are on the to-do list.
Other intermediate goals include getting the engine to rev up to 4,000 RPM (currently 1,000 RPM below the target) and reinforcing the chassis and suspension to support the added 300 kilos (650 lbs) of weight.
Werner’s biggest ambition is to hit 320 km/h (200 mph) driving this Crown Victoria on a racetrack.
