As you should remember, several spy photos showing a mysterious new Ford SUV running on public roads found their way online a few days ago. Today, we received word from our Western colleagues telling us a bit more about the upcoming vehicle.
Allegedly, the new car goes by the name ‘Ford Puma’ and utilizes the Fiesta chassis. It is ultimately going to replace the EcoSport SUV on the market in Europe.
Interestingly, the first car to bear the name ‘Ford Puma’ was a mini-coupe that sold in Europe from 1997 through 2002. Ford also patented this model name in New Zealand and Australia some time ago.
The car will likely celebrate its live premiere at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show and enter production in Romania sometime in 2020.
