The new Ford Ranger will soon reveal itself in its full glory, but in the meantime, car spotters have photographed the interior of its close relative: the Ford Everest. The two have historically shared their cabin layout and trim, so everything you see on the photos should apply to the 2022 Ranger as well.
Having said that, the changes appear to be minimal. The dashboard and the multimedia panel are the same, while the gear selector is a rotary knob now instead of a lever. A drive mode selector has been added, and the center console looks otherwise unfinished.
Frankly speaking, we expected considerably more from the new generation, but there is always a chance that this specific test car had an older version of the interior than a hypothetical other one. We’ll just have to wait and see.
The new Ford Ranger will join the recently refreshed Ford F-150 and Ford Maverick on the U.S. market, coming based on the next-gen VW Amarok platform.
