Having introduced the next-gen Ranger in mid-November 2021, Ford is now focused on bringing its SUV-shaped counterpart – the Everest – to the market. We have already seen a few teaser pics, but a new video sets March 1 as the premiere date.
There is a strong Ranger influence to be seen in both the exterior and the cabin. The new Everest is a seven-seater, giving it an advantage over the Bronco for some buyers.
The pickup truck ditched its 3.2-liter five-cylinder diesel engine in favor of a 3.0-liter six-pot that necessitated expanding its engine bay. The Everest will definitely go diesel, too, but whether it will be the old five-cylinder or the new six-cylinder remains unknown. It is also interesting whether the Everest will get a high-end Raptor version.
