Ford Expedition Hybrid rolls out for some testing

Shortly after the next-gen Ford Expedition came out for its pre-production tests, its hybrid variant showed up, too. Let us have a look at the spy shots.

The disguise is pretty good, but we expect Ford to redesign the interior considerably and make a large infotainment display standard in all trims. Powertrain-wise, the Expedition will comes powered by the same part-electric system as the Ford F-150. The latter uses a 3,5-liter Powerboost V6 coupled with a 35-kW electric engine, a small battery, and ten-speed automatic transmission. The output amounts to 430 PS (424 hp / 316 kW) and 773 Nm (570 lb-ft) of torque.

The new generation should celebrate its debut before the end of the year.
