A recent series of YouTube videos shows a number of unusual of drag races that took place at the Bandimere Speedway in Colorado, USA this week. The biggest highlight is this showdown between a quad bike and a Ford Explorer police car.
The car is assigned to the Sheriff’s Department of the Jefferson District. It remains without comment whether the police officer who participated in the race acted on official permission or of their own volition. The blinker lights were on when the car entered the track, and the person behind the steering wheel was in what looked like full police uniform.
Anyway, the SUV pulled ahead of the quad at first, but then the quad caught up with it and snatched the victory, crossing the quarter-mile line in 15.89 seconds (the police cruiser was barely behind with 16 seconds flat).
The same quad can be then seen racing a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, coming 1.5 seconds behind it, and another quad bike, overtaking it by slightly more than two seconds.
