Tuner Hennessey Performance has recently revealed its take on the 2019 Ford F-150 VelociRaptor pickup truck.
The engineers removed the EcoBoost V6 engine the car shipped with and replaced it with a powerful 5.0L V8 equipped with a supercharger, an air/water cooling circuit, improved intake, new fuel injectors and other performance parts. As a result, the car now commands a formidable 758 hp (565 kW).
With an engine like this, the new Hennessey Velociraptor V8 accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in trifling 4.1 seconds.
Exterior improvements include a reworked front bumper with a bull bar, a restyled rear apron and additional lighting. It also rides full 150 mm (6”) higher than its production version thanks to the Stage 2 Offroad Suspension Kit and a set of 20-inch wheels with a matte-black finish.
On the inside, there are new headrests with the Hennessey logo on them and a special edition plaque.
The Hennessey Velociraptor V8 series will consist of 100 cars priced at U.S. $150,000 and above.
