Hennessey just published a video showcasing its custom-built pickup truck called the VelociRaptor 600 Twin Turbo – essentially, a pimped-out version of the Ford F-150 Raptor.
The car had its engine boosted to deliver 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts) along with 843 Newton-meters (622 pound-feet) of torque. As a result, it now accelerates from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2s instead of the stock 6s. It also covers a quarter mile in a respectable 12.9 seconds.
The VelociRaptor 600 upgrade kit includes a comprehensive software update, as well as a new air-to-air intercooler, a high-flow induction system, better turbo wastegates, and a stainless-steel cat-back exhaust system.
The most immediately noticeable feature of the VelociRaptor 600 Twin Turbo is not its sheer strength, though, bur rather its formidable roar. Watch the video to get an idea of what it sounds like.
Among other things, Hennessey offers such aftermarket options for the F-150 Raptor as a new front bumper with a light bar, a set of 20-inch wheels clad in 35-inch rubber, a 3-inch (76mm) suspension lift kit, and a restyled rear bumper.
