The CarWOW team felt like checking how three Ford pickup trucks would perform in an acceleration test. The race was held between two F-150 Raptors and a diesel-powered Ranger Raptor.
The first contender, the F-150 Raptor V8 SVT, came to the start line unmodified – unless you are willing to call the SVT top trim a modification. Its V8 churned out 411 hp (306 kW) alongside 557 Nm (411 lb-ft) to the wheels.
The second F-150 received an upgrade for its six-cylinder turbo from Sutton Bespoke (Great Britain), ending up with impressive 520 hp (388 kW) and 698 Nm (515 lb-ft) of torque.
The diesel-chugging Ranger Raptor is the clear outsider of the race, likely only there for the picture. Powering it is a diesel mill good for 213 hp (132 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque.
The team first performed a standing start, followed by a running start. Watch the video to assess the dynamic performance of each truck.
