Hennessey Performance is known worldwide for its crazy power tuning projects, such as turning the iconic Ford F-150 Raptor into a 758-HP “VelociRaptor V8”. Today’s release is even more ambitious: what used to be the regular F-150 becomes Hennessey Venom 775.
The truck packs the same 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine as the VelociRaptor complete with a supercharger, a liquid intercooler, and a new injection system. It delivers 775 hp (786 PS) to the wheels by means of its stock 10-speed auto transmission. To put things into perspective, the stock non-turbo engine churns out mere 395 hp (295 kW).
Tuned like this, the Hennessey Venom 775 sprints to 100 km/h (62 mph) in four seconds flat and completes a quarter-mile run in 12.1 seconds. The VelociRaptor goes one-tenth of a second behind in both disciplines.
Further mods include reinforced suspension with 152 mm (6 inches) of added ride height, Brembo six-piston brakes on the front axle, a new hood with an air scoop, stainless-steel bumpers, larger wheels, automatic running boards, and an interior makeover.
The tuning kit alone costs 53,300 USD, which means that you can buy a finished Hennessey Venom 775 starting from 92,000 USD (donor vehicle included). The VelociRaptor V8 is priced considerably higher at 148,000+ USD. That said, the company will only be releasing 100 units, so make sure to order early if you want one.
