Californian tuner turns a Ford F-150 into a 700-hp track tool

California-based auto customizer M.A.D. Industries builds custom Ford F-150 trucks that leave the Porsche 911.992 Turbo S and the C8 Chevrolet Corvette wishing for more engine kick.

The starting point here is a 2015 Ford F-150 Extended Crew Cab Platinum. The scope of modifications is vast by any definition, but it is the supercharged powertrain that interests us the most. Ten psi of boost pressure and the 3.75 gear ratio drive the stock 5.0-liter V8 to 700 hp (522 kW) and 881 Nm (650 pound-feet) of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission carries the momentum to all four wheels.

The suspension also shows a number of improvements. New shocks and springs drop the ride height by a whopping 10 cm (4 inches) at the front axle and 7.6 cm (3”) at the rear axle. Apparently, the low stance does not preclude the installation of huge 24-inch Niche Road Wheels T73 wrapped in Scorpion Zero Astrimmerico Ultimate tires. The brake model is Wilwood TC6 Series.

A partially redone cabin rounds off the impressive project. The leather trim is new, and so is the digital dashboard in the middle of the steering wheel, but that’s about it.
