While Ford is still testing its muscular F-150 Raptor hoping to provide competition to the new RAM TRX, Mil-Spec barges in with a performance truck of its own.
It looks like the Michigan-based tuner grew tired of invariably working with the Hummer H1 and felt like trying something new for a change. And the result is quite impressive: F-150 owners are invited to have their trucks supercharged to 675 hp (503 kW) and 841 Nm (620 lb-ft) of torque and lifted to 330 mm (13 inches) of ground clearance.
The tuner added a 500-hp / 373-kW boost kit for the F-150 5.0L Coyote to its inventory four months ago. This package is what provides the starting point for the new one: additions include a supercharger, aftermarket throttle bodies, fuel system components, a rerouted air intake system, and an air-to-liquid intercooler.
The new Mil-Spec Ford Intrepid F-150 still doesn’t have a price tag in the United States, but we wouldn’t expect any miracles here, given than the 500-HP truck starts from U.S. $89,500.
