The U.S.-based Ford Motor Company has held an official presentation of the diesel version of its ultra-popular Ford F-150 pickup truck. The vehicle got a 3.0L, six-cylinder Power Stroke diesel engine.
According to Ford, the engine is capable of up to 250 horsepower; any further details won’t be disclosed until spring. It is, however, known that the car now takes advantage of a SelectShift 10-speed automatic transmission specifically adjusted for the new diesel unit.
Pre-orders for the new Ford F-150 Diesel will open mid-January, with the first cars to be shipped to their owners starting mid-spring 2018. Prospective buyers will be able to choose between the front-driven and the 4WD version of the car for any of the following trim levels: Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum SuperCrew, and SuperCab.
