There is nothing surprising about a Ford E-Series RV – the weight and the form factor of the van lends it perfectly to such conversions. Cars & Bids has just put up one such example for sale with around 3,700 km (2,300 miles) on the odo. The bidding is at $20,666 USD right now.
The donor van was made 13 years ago and was converted by Sportsmobile, which gave it a pop for more headroom and another sleeping area near the ceiling.
Other aftermarket modifications include batteries, a water boiler, swiveling seats, a shower cabin, a fully stocked kitchen and a dining area.
The 16-inch wheels and front sway bar are stock, as is the 4.6-liter Triton V8 rated at 228 PS (225 hp / 168 kW) under the hood. The transmission is four-speed automatic.
