The new monster engine Ford designed for its Super Duty pickup line might not seem that radical, but proper tuning gets plenty of thrust out of it. YouTuber REVan Evan shows us what the 7.3-liter Godzilla mill is truly capable of with a ProCharger upgrade.
The engine in the video manages to get to 978 PS (964 hp / 719 kW) and 1,145 Nm (845 lb-ft) of torque on the dyno before blowing its injectors. The tuner promises that better injectors and intake can take it all the way to 1,200 horsepower (900 kilowatts) and above.
In an earlier video by REVan Evan, the 7.3-liter V8 was tested with a variety of aftermarket upgrades on. It started from the stock 435 PS (429 hp / 320 kW) and 644 Nm (475 lb-ft) and quickly ascended to 790 PS (779 hp / 581 kW). The highest it hit was 1,115 PS (1,100 hp / 820 kW).
