Here is a showdown between a trio of unlikely opponents – a somewhat modded F-150, a Mustang Shelby GT500 and a Camaro ZL-1.
Judging by the outcomes of the races, the F-150 is far from stock, but details are few and far between. We do know it rides on aftermarket wheels and uses a Whipple supercharger, but that’s about it.
The Mustang Shelby GT500 is stock, which doesn’t prevent it from running a quarter-mile in ten seconds. The Camaro ZL-1 has been tuned as well, but the specifics are lacking.
On the Bradenton Motorsports Park drag strip, the two Fords were the first to race each other. The truck managed a 10.87-second run and hit 211 km/h (131 mph) at the finish line. The Shelby barely lost with 11.18 seconds.
