One of the Ford dealerships in the USA has confirmed that the company stopped taking new orders for the 2022MY F-150 pickup starting from May 13, 2022, blaming high demand and shipping delays for the backorder.
The delays allegedly occurred because of electronic chip shortage, forcing Ford to stop the assembly lines multiple times. As of right now, the F-150 is no longer available in Tremor, Limited, Platinum, King Ranch, Lariat, XL and XLT trims. The Raptor version is still on sale, though.
Pre-orders for the 2023MY F-150 will open in July this year. Ford should reveal more about the updates and changes to the pickup at roughly the same time, so stay tuned if you are interested in buying one.
